Cristina D'Averso-Collins holds Masters degrees in both Theological Studies and Psychology along with a certification in Life Coaching.  She serves as a college Campus Ministry Director and Diocesan Family Life Director with over 10 years of ministry experience.  This workshop series is the fruit of her experience working with both college students and engaged couples.  Realizing the need for young adults to receive formation for marriage long before engagement, Cristina decided to begin the "Prepared to Love" workshop series which now features separate tracks for young adult singles and ministry leaders/educators.  Following the workshops, individuals are invited to seek one-on-one coaching with Cristina, if desired.  

The “Prepared to Love for Young Adults” is a workshop designed to help Catholics, ages 18-39s, make wise relationship choices that lead to a successful future marriage.

  • Are you looking to get married one day?  Many young adults believe marriage to be a goal, yet unwittingly absorb cultural scripts and engage in practices that lead them away from that goal.  In this course, marriage-minded young adults will learn how to prepare for future flourishing long before engagement (or, in some cases, a serious relationship)!  It is the fruit of nearly 10 years of work with college students and additional years working to formally prepare couples for marriage.  Young adults will gain a framework for effectively evaluating relationships in their lives and will be given the opportunity to interact with other like-minded individuals.

    4. The call of the laity

    5. The importance of personal healing

    6. Understanding charisms/gifts
