Cristina D'Averso Collins
Cristina is a graduate of Villanova University and obtained a Master of Theological Studies from the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family at the Catholic University of America. She later received a Master of Science in Psychology from Divine Mercy University and, most recently, a certificate in Life Coaching from the Life Coach Training Institute. She currently serves as college Campus Ministry Director, where she has worked for almost 10 years, and a Diocesan Family Life Director, where she works to meet the diverse needs of families of all ages and stages. Perhaps her biggest area of focus is in helping to prepare young adults for marriage. Cristina is certified as a FOCCUS and REFOCCUS Inventory facilitator, which enables her to work with both engaged and married couples in identifying areas for growth. Her specialties include young adult relationships and transitions as well as engaged and married couples. Seeing a need for earlier marriage preparation and virtue formation among young adults, she began the "Prepared to Love" workshop series which currently features offerings for both Catholic young adult singles and ministry leaders/educators. Cristina is also happy to work with couples or individuals upon request.
